Farewell Sanjeev...

Am feeling a bit “Oh, NO !!!” today. Sound of good bye is looming in my ears. Sound of Sanjeev packing. He is leaving my company. Life is all about meeting and parting. ain't it ? Was a cool dude and a great manager to work with. It’s a pity that my company is losing him for some silly reasons. Takes ages to get a good employee like him and just a week’s negligence to lose him. Tonight is a farewell dinner with Sanjeev. Wish it never had to happen. Sometimes managers become larger than just managers !!! Sanjeev.. YOU ROCK and I WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST. GOOD BYE (for now)…

(Edit) We had a Farewell Dinner at Indijoes that went quite well. And then a cake cutting at office. Have my reservations on the whole cake smashing thing. Well my judgements doesn't matter but what fun is it to smash a kilo of cake on someones face (and shirt and put some inside as well) and have about 100 people laugh at him ?? I mean are we really making him happy or is it outright humiliation ??? The idea it seems was to make the occasion unforgettable. Duh... Anyways it kind of helps to have a good washroom attached to the workplace gym. (thinking aloud: I actually got to see how the office gym looks. I have to try hard now to overcome the temptation to workout!! What if I get in shape ? I don't want to ruin the careers of Hrithik Roshan or Salman Khan (Yuck!!). Ahhh.. the great magnanimous me !!!)

OOps.. off the subject... forgot Sanjeev (already :( )...

"You will be missed Sanjeev...."

Life is indeed about meeting and parting..

For what I've seen of him, I can safely say that he is a wonderful person. He will definitely be missed. I wish him the best!!

You've hit the nail on the head with the negligence of the company part. Sometimes they're so reckless in the demeanor. Taking things for granted.

Im glad the cake smashing ritual came under the mag glass. Its about time somebody took notice. I remember an oh-so obvious venting of frustrations by somebody when my manager had a party on his birthday. Its easy to get carried away!

Good luck with the gym!! :-)

We'd love to see a magnanimous you! he he..

Sanjeev has raised the bar for any manager to take over now......Very carying person which anyone can make out. I have never seen any manager walking up with Choclates etc to a agents desk......He has shown what GE managers are all about. Getting work done in the best way possible........

In the words of Plato himself i quote "Everything flows, nothing stands still." I am glad to have worked under a person such as Sanjeev, very supportive and an excellent manager. he will be missed. now to add to all the other names that we have been called philosophical, now was that a compliment or...no I'll be positive, and taker it as a compliment, that the grey cells were getting a little work out away from the mundane, but not at the gym, at the office but in the gym of life...hahaha its not as serious as it sounds, it almost never is..and now am off,in most meaning of that word.
